Arenenberg close to Lake Constance

Arenenberg – Chateau and Napoleonic museum

Salenstein, Switzerland

The chateau is situated at one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Lake Constance region. In 1816, Hortense de Beauharnais, stepdaughter of Napoleon I, chose to exile herself here. Visitors can discover how Hortense lived here with her son Louis. Today’s Arenenberg combines culture, hospitality and education in a unique manner.
