Friedrichshafen lakeside promenade

The Friedrichshafen lakeside promenade is one of the longest and most attractive on Lake Constance. The extensive harbour complex exudes a maritime holiday atmosphereandnumerous street cafés encourage visitors to linger. The view from the lakeside promenade or from the 22-metre-high observation tower on the pier over the city and the Schlosskirche, the orchards in the hinterland and the sweeping views over the lake and Alps is unique on Lake Constance.

In addition to the world's largest exhibition on the history of airship travel, the Zeppelin Museum also includes an impressive collection of are from south-west Germany. Recreated as an aircraft hangar, the Dornier Museum brings 100 exciting years of air and space travel to life. In the School Museum, you can learn how schools came into being and what classrooms looked like in 1850, 1900 and 1930.
