1. Carthusian Monastery Ittingen Warth | Switzerland
The former monastery complex with its wonderful gardens, two museums and an idyllic beer garden is a very special place. Be seduced by the historic medicinal herb garden, the thyme labyrinth and the largest historical collection of roses in Switzerland.

2. Castle and Park Arenenberg Salenstein | Switzerland
In 1816, Queen Hortense planted the very first landscape park by the lake. Since then, the grotto surrounded by water, Jacob’s ladder, the wood and the breathtaking visual axes have delighted visitors from near and far.

3. Reichenau Island with the "Hortulus" herb garden | Germany
Almost 1,200 years ago the monk Walahfrid Strabo, who lived on Reichenau, wrote Europe’s first gardening guide
with the poem “Hortulus”. In the former monastery garden, a herb garden laid out according to the old model presents the plants from the Hortulus.

4. Mainau Island | Germany
The flower island is a festival for garden lovers: in addition to an incredible abundance of flowers as the seasons come and go, visitors can also marvel at a butterfly house, a glass palm house and one of Europe’s most important orchid collections.

5. New Palace, Meersburg | Germany
The garden of the New Castle boasts an impressive panoramic view over Lake Constance. The strictly through-composed green areas with their low hedges are typical of the baroque period.

6. Überlingen Garden Culture Path | Germany
The Überlingen Garden Culture Path connects the most beautiful green sights of the spa and holiday town along approximately four kilometers. The botanical highlight of the regularly signposted path is the town garden.

7. Salem Monastery and Palace | Germany
Representative designed gardens along the French model meet a lovingly-tended show vineyard. Guests can also marvel at the baroque courtyard garden with its maze and geometric flowerbeds as well as extensive parkland.

8. Lindau´s Bavarian Riviera | Germany
With its stylish villas on the shores of Lake Constance, the Bavarian Riviera in Lindau is one of the most beautiful shores in the region. In the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, the nobility and the bourgeoisie left noble and stately mansions on the six-kilometer shoreline.

9. Wartegg Castle | Switzerland
A walk through the extensive park leads under shady lime trees, plane trees and chestnut trees along idyllic watercourses and clearings. Numerous rare varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers grow in the 2500 square meter castle garden, including over 50 different herbs, around 60 types of vegetables and around 250 perennials and shrubs.

10. monastery garden St.Gallen | Switzerland
An oasis in the middle of the city. The new monastery garden offers visitors a contemporary, modern design language. Here, the structure changes from rather rigid, rectangular beds to around 40 modular, organically designed raised beds and bed forms.

11. Seeburgpark Kreuzlingen | Switzerland
The Seeburgpark stretches from Kreuzlingen harbor around Seeburg Castle along the shores of Lake Constance. With a length of 2.5 km, it is one of the most important gardens on Lake Constance. With its zoo, medicinal and spice garden, barefoot path, adventure playground, disc golf, minigolf, nature discovery trail, lake museum and Seeburg Castle restaurant, the park is a popular excursion destination and offers a wonderful setting for relaxing activities.
