Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen

Friedrichshafen, Germany

The Zeppelin legend becomes alive here.

The Zeppelin Museum inspires people with the idea of daring to do the seemingly impossible and actively shaping the future as pioneers. With over 1,500 original exhibits as well as historical sound, film and image recordings, the Zeppelin Museum tells the story of airship travel in a lively and multimedia way. The highlight is the partial reconstruction of the LZ 129 Hindenburg. Via the drop deck, visitors can climb into the full-size replica passenger areas and experience at first hand how passengers felt in these innovative luxury liners of the skies.

Art in the Zeppelin Museum

The Zeppelin Museum in the Bauhaus building of the harbor station also has a considerable art collection. A particular focus is on works by classical modern artists such as Otto Dix, Max Ackermann and Willi Baumeister.

Innovative temporary exhibitions in particular provide a link to current themes. In 2024, with the major special exhibitions "Kryptomania. The Promises of Blockchain" (15. December - 07. April 2024) and "Choose your Player! The gaming exhibition at the Zeppelin Museum" (from 16. May 2024).
