The classic wine tasting to get to know the "Winzerverein Hagnau" and its wines. The sun wraps the landscape in a golden glow. The lake sparkles and reflects its rays onto the gently descending vineyards. The vines patiently bear the weight of the grapes and, like the guests and locals, enjoy the incomparable view.
Here, the 52 winegrowing families of the "Hagnau Winzerverein" are entitled to nurture and care for their vines on 177 hectares of vineyards. And then harvest the fruits of their labor in the fall: That's when the vineyards "teem". This is because the grapes are packed into the heavy boxes exclusively by hand. With a trained eye, the hard-working "Wimmler", as the harvest workers are called here, recognize which grapes are ripe and which still need time. The grapes are then sorted and transported to the press hall of Baden's oldest winegrowers' cooperative.
As early as 1881, the popular writer and politician Pastor Dr. Heinrich Hansjakob recognized the needs of the winegrowers and swore them in to the community idea of Raiffeisen and Schulze-Delitzsch. An idea from which the small winegrowing and fishing village still benefits today.
Hagnau - spoiled by the sun, favored by nature.
From this treasure trove of nature, cellar master Jochen Sahler succeeds year after year in creating elegant white wines, racy rosé and red wines and bubbly sparkling wines. As winners of many wine competitions at home and abroad, the wines from the Hagnauer WEinzerverein are not only symbolic for one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany; they also embody a bottled attitude to life and bring a touch of the lake to your home!
