Special exhibition ‘100 years of Müller-Thurgau’

Meersburg, Germany

From vine smuggling to wine legend

The special exhibition at the vineum bodensee takes a fascinating look at the background to smuggling and the wine region 100 years ago. It tells of courage and determination, of smuggling routes and small-scale border traffic - and in particular of the triumph of the Müller-Thurgau grape on Lake Constance. In the atmospheric setting of the historic roof truss, the events come to life through multimedia installations. Interactive experiences and historical exhibits invite visitors to immerse themselves in the history of a grape variety that overcame borders - and became a wine legend.
