The founder of the Red Cross and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Henry Dunant (1828–1910) spent the last 18 years of his life in Heiden. The eponymous museum documents Dunant’s life and his political, social and religious beliefs and convictions in four themed spaces. Special exhibitions address current social debates on peace, humanity and solidarity.
