Neues Schloss Meersburg

Meersburg New Palace

Meersburg, Germany

The New Palace crowns the city silhouette of Meersburg high above Lake Constance. The representative residence of the Prince-Bishops began to be built in 1710 and since then has lost none of its beauty today. The staircase with its statues and its ornate ceiling paintings is particularly impressive. A tour through the private rooms, state apartments and hall of mirrors with the many exhibits on display provides a fascinating insight into the life of the Prince-Bishops in the 18th century. For a perfect end to a day at the residential palace, visit the Baroque gardens.
