The history of viticulture in the Swiss Canton of Schaffhausen

Housed in the former winegrower's house “Krone," the Weinkrone Museum invites you to discover the history of wine growing in Canton Schaffhausen. Opened in 1983 and renovated in 2016, the Museum of Viticulture offers its visitors interesting facts on three floors, as well as a wine bar. The winter workshop, distillery, cooperage and original bottle collection are on the top floor. The 1st floor houses the Rimuss room and the wine school. On the ground floor, exciting background information is presented on Schaffhausen’s wine growing communities with various themes from wine growing to wine pressing in the former barn section. The vinotheque offers visitors 50 different Schaffhausen wines to taste and buy. The vaulted cellar is also open.
