The former guild house "Zur Rose" presents historical exhibitions and contemporary national and international art. The two special exhibition rooms are regularly reorganized. The motto here is small but special! Themes from classical modernism, design, regional culture and history as well as performative and experimental art find a new venue here.
The inner courtyard is surprising: Australian artist Jamie North has created a striking sculptural landscape here.
The architecture itself is also worth discovering. Contemporary architecture and historical substance come together in rich detail throughout the Kulturhaus. The large guild hall from the 15th century, in which semi-permanent exhibitions are shown, and the wood-panelled guild room from 1681 are the historical highlights.
Concerts, readings and lectures are held in the new event space throughout the year. A wide range of educational activities, from workshops and guided tours to themed events, also offer a wealth of opportunities for visitors to create their own experiences, live out their imagination or delve a little deeper into the history of the building. The current events on offer can always be found on the Kulturhaus homepage.
