UNESCO Site Feldbach

This site was discovered in 1864, spanning the entire bay between Feldbach and Kempraten. Here we have unearthed four Neolithic phases of Cortaillod, Pfyn, Horgen as well as Corded Ceramic cultures. The single-phase settlement from the corded ceramic culture (around 2,520 BC) has been thoroughly investigated. A village enclave on the shoal is dated from the latest Early Bronze Age (1,490 BC).
